2008-06-10 [smakeupfx]: he's going to look great :-) are you going to have to reglue more wood?
2008-06-10 [Nyaah*]: thank you!!! carving starts the day after tomorrow, keep your fingers crossed for me! i hope not.. i will start and see if it still fits.. if not, i will ae to think of something :/
2008-06-10 [smakeupfx]: I'm sure you'll figure something out :-) *crosses lots of fingers and toes* :D
2008-06-10 [Yncke]: Wow, I had no idea how such a woodcarving goes, but it's interesting to see. Looks very promising! :)
2008-06-11 [Nyaah*]: thankies you two!! (and all the crossed fingers and cute toes :D ) i thought it would be intresting to show the whole flow :D do you see what i meant with the gypsum mold Tim? im sure my try to explain it was a complete flop :/ :/ :/
2008-06-11 [smakeupfx]: Oh no, you explained perfectly well... that's a real tricky thing, making a multi part mold to release a ridged cast from a ridged mold... very nicely done hun :D
2008-06-11 [Nyaah*]: :D its complicated but it works really good! and you can do a few more positiv molds! though each cast gets a bit less good.. i made two of this mold and the second already didnt look so good anymore. need to work on it a few hours!
2008-06-12 [Kitakaze]: Weeee! AMAZING! You became such a pro! Love the part when you put the head on the plinth. And the photo, where the glue drips down the wood, is great. i'm so looking forward to see the finished piece, but the progress is very exciting as well. there is so much work in that thing, so much time and professionalit
